So Dylan has been taking swimming lessons for a couple of months now. He is really loving it. His teacher is Miss Jennie and she teaches lessons out of the pool in her backyard. She is very patient and is great with the kids. She keeps her pool heated very warm and it uses salt instead of chlorine so I feel a little better about him being in the water. After his first few lessons he wanted to go out and get some of his own goggles, and of course he picked green. Everything he chooses has to be green right now. He still hasn’t really mastered swimming yet, but he is getting more comfortable in the water and he is actually putting his whole head under the water a lot more. He can’t wait for his lesson every week and he is ready to go at 7:30 that morning, even though his lesson isn’t until 1. The great thing about finding a place like this for his swimming lessons is that I am allowed to take Aubri in the pool while Dylan is taking his lessons. I have started taking her in and we are just working on her getting comfortable in the water. She has been going through this kind of weird fear of water thing, but she seems to be okay in the pool. She actually really seems to enjoy herself in the water and I hope next week I can get her to blow some bubbles.
